Dick Ingersoll
Currently a resident of Lakewood, Ohio, where he grew up with a musical father, Dick Ingersoll is an active professional musician playing saxophone in the greater Cleveland area. He has performed with many prominent musical groups including the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. Mr. Ingersoll received formal musical training at The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor of Music in 1993 with an emphasis in Jazz performance. Music has afforded him the opportunity to travel the world and perform in orchestras backing up such notable entertainers as Louis Bellson, Steve Lawrence, David Sanborn, and Tony Bennett. Mr. Ingersoll is a cofounding member of the successful swing and blues ensemble Dukes of Wail and has performed on numerous recordings of varying musical styles with Cleveland area artists.
Interested in exploring career opportunities outside of music, Mr. Ingersoll began working in the healthcare industry in 2002 and earned a Masters in Organizational Management in 2004. He presently works in healthcare administration at University Hospitals of Cleveland and is involved in the planning and execution of UH’s aggressive expansion of facilities and services known as Vision 2010. Mr. Ingersoll brings a unique blend of musical awareness, industry experience, and contemporary business skills to the CJO’s board of directors.
