Introducing...

Jazz washes away the dust of everyday life.

Art Blakey

The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra is growing! As we begin our 2021-22 season, we have welcomed new Board members to our organization, who will help us execute our mission to increase awareness and appreciation of jazz by engaging the community with original music, exceptional performances, and inspirational educational programming.

Jason Nedley

Jason Nedley is Director of Nedley Management & Consulting, which offers client accounting and advisory services primarily to nonprofits, such as cultural institutions, grantmaking foundations, independent schools, and social-service providers. He is a certified public accountant, and holds an M.B.A. from John Carroll University.

In addition to volunteering time for his nonprofit clients, Jason co-founded and directs The Carter Nedley Foundation, which, for more than eleven years, has partnered with Cleveland Clinic Children's and UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospitals to serve families in Northeast Ohio impacted by childhood cancer.  He just started his second year as chair of the John Carroll Professional MBA Advisory Committee, and recently completed a term on the board of the Cleveland chapter of Positive Coaching Alliance, a national organization focused on character building through youth sports.  He is a graduate of the Cleveland Bridge Builders Class of 2018.

His interest in the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra is twofold:

  1. To support the growth of its educational programs and outreach so that children - particularly those in schools without formal music programs - can be inspired to become listeners and players.

  2. To collaborate with staff and leadership to ensure the long-term financial and operational strength of the organization.
