Bettyjeane Quimby holds a BM in Music Education (2005) and an MM in Music Performance (2012) from Cleveland State University, where she won the graduate concerto competition performing a jazz clarinet concerto with the University Orchestra.

For over two decades, she has performed with diverse ensembles throughout Northeast Ohio, including the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, Great Lakes Theater, Sammy DeLeon y Su Orchestra, the Lakewood Hometown Band, and The Dazzle Awards. Her career highlights include sharing the stage with The Temptations, The O'Jays, and The DIVA Jazz Orchestra in Maurice Hines is Tappin' Thru Life. In 2022, she was invited to perform the Artie Shaw Concerto for Clarinet” at the International Clarinet Association conference in Reno, Nevada, honoring her former professor, Theodore Johnson.

For three consecutive years, Bettyjeane has been selected as Event Staff for the Registration Team at the National Jazz Education Network (JEN) Conference in New Orleans and Atlanta, where she checks in large groups and participants daily.

Recently serving as Education Program Director for Roots of American Music (ROOTS), she developed cross-curricular programming, managed and evaluated teaching and performing artists, and coordinated with Cleveland Metropolitan Schools, the Maltz Museum, Senior Centers, and Adult Day Facilities across Northeast Ohio to deliver quality programming and assist in grant reporting to secure funding. Additionally, Bettyjeane collaborated to book various performing artists and ensembles at multiple venues, most notably the entire lineup of the "Music Meadows" stage at the 2025 Ingenuity Festival, consisting of diverse and qualified musical groups.

Currently, Bettyjeane is an experienced substitute teacher in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, serving students in grades K-8 not only in music but in multiple content areas. As a freelance musician, teacher, and non-profit administrator, she remains active in both performance and music education, regularly attending music conferences nationwide.
