Check out our fifth episode of “Jazz in the Land: The Official CJO Podcast,” with our host, CJO Board Member, Darrell Scott.

In this episode, podcast host and CJO Board member, Darrell Scott talks to CJO Artistic Director Paul Ferguson and The Musical Theater Project Artistic Director and Founder Bill Rudman about the upcoming concert, “Stardust: The Songs of Hoagy Carmichael,” which takes place on Saturday, January 24th at 7:30 p.m. at the Maltz Performing Arts Center. This will be the 10th collaboration concert between the two organizations, and Paul and Bill talk to Darrell about the process of putting together this type of show, how they craft a story from the music, and their love of what they do. Later, Darrell speaks with the CJO Rhythm Section: bassist Aidan Plank, drummer Jim Rupp, and pianist Jackie Warren. The three members of self titled “Engine Room” each talk about joining the CJO, what they enjoy about being in the orchestra, and what they have learned from each other over the years.

Listen in as we talk jazz, jazz education, jazz in Cleveland, and more!

Come back for a new episode next month!
